Finally, after weeks of extended injuries and lingering between division 6 and 7, Canuck Racing has come away with a fantastic result, launching them all the way passed division 6 into division 5 where they hope to only go up.
In preparation for the Bali Classic, the team had over a week's rest in order to ensure that low discipline would not be an issue to contend with. As a result, the squad was in peak physical condition for the race. Captain, Damon Maze, easily secured a 2nd place finish in the stage, allotting 60 points and $11,000 to Canuck Racing as a whole.
The result made a world of a difference in the Canadian rankings. The team moved from 11th to 8th and Damon Maze is now ranked the 6th best rider in all of Canada.
"We have faith in our riders' potential. You will probably see some changes in some of our riders within the next couple of weeks. Expect to see a new and improved Canuck Racing squad. The Bali Classic was only a launching pad," stated team manager, Andrew Cantarutti, shortly after the race.
